Google released relatively simple versions of Android. Expand the functionality you provided to a third-party manufacturer such as Samsung or LG. However, now the clean version of Android is more skilled, functional and attractive without the help of other companies.
As a result, more and more manufacturers are using a clean version of Android on their smartphones and tablets. Many users have known the system for a long time, but do not recognize all of its features. Some of these Android 7.0 features will be described below.
Split Screen for Chrome Browser
Everyone knows that you can view two apps at the same time on the Android 7 screen, but one of the apps is separate. The Chrome browser can open two tabs at the same time.
To do this, open your browser and make sure there are at least two tabs running. Keep the Android review button (rectangular) to start multitasking as usual. Now click on the menu button in the browser and select the command “Move to another window”.
The open tab will move to the other side of the screen. When you are done, you can exit the screen division function by dragging the application divider from one side to the end. The tab will return to the normal state. You can also open another application that replaces one of the split screen tabs.
How to remove all apps from the multitasking list
Sometimes you have to start from scratch and remove programs that hinder multitasking. Not all Android devices had previous opportunities to fix this problem quickly, but Android 7.0 received the “Clear All” command in this list.
Some vendors such as Samsung and LG have placed the “Clear All” button at the bottom of the screen where it’s easy to get it, although you can accidentally lose and lose all open apps at the moment. In a clean version of Android and in versions with minimal changes like Motorola, the “Clear All” button is at the top of the list of open applications. You must go to the screen and press. In this case, the background work does not close, only the activity of the user.
Fast third-party settings
All Android smartphones and tablets allow you to make changes to quick settings. This feature has another aspect. You can use mosaics from third parties for quick adjustments. To find them, on the “Quick Settings” toolbar, look for the “Edit” button that looks like a pencil.
Below the basic parameter list, there are some unused tiles. There will be tiles from all installed applications, if any. You can make a big touch on the tile and drag it to the list. This way you can access VPN clients, Twitter, various settings.
Application installation source
Google gradually increases the amount of information available in the program setup interface. In Nougat, you can see where the app was installed – from the Google Store or from an APK.
To view it, go to Settings> Apps. Type the desired program and scroll down. If the app comes from the Play Store, you can click the link and go to the store page.
Quickly switch applications
Google has changed the multitasking interface for Android Lollipop and Android 7.0 introduced a faster application change method. If you need to open a previously started application, you do not need to click on the cards in the multitasking menu.
You must double-click on the search button and open the previous application. If you do it again, you will return to the program you just left. This should work on all Nougat Android devices and more modern versions of the system.
Control applications
On Android 7.1, there are new options for working with application shortcuts. Provide access to useful menus and functions on the home screen by clicking on the app icon for a long time.
A menu appears and commands are available. Google Drive has commands for searching, scanning and downloading files. The “Settings” application offers billing levels, traffic consumption and Wi-Fi. The answering machine displays frequently used contacts.
Here’s another level: If you often open the same operating system space or do the same thing in applications, the menu command can be turned into a shortcut on the home screen. To do this, you must press and hold the menu that appears to drag it. After that, this icon can start, like any other application.
Attach attachments in the Share menu
The sharing feature on Android lets you quickly share links and files between applications. If you have installed many applications, the list of programs and commands may become too heavy. If many file sharing applications are used regularly, you can click and hold the command in the menu. A window will appear that will give you a link to the application or control information to attach the application.
Fixed actions in the Shared menu are displayed at the top of the list. This only works in the Android Share menu. If the program has its own version of such a menu, attached applications will not appear at the top.
Save Data
For many, the volume of mobile telephony is limited. Android 7.0 adds a feature that does not allow you to exceed the limit. The data logging function is available in the parameters of the Data Transfer section. It allows you to record traffic without allowing applications to go unnoticed. If this feature is enabled, programs will only use megabytes if you explicitly refer to it.
On devices, there are usually at least some applications and services freed by the limitations of this feature. You can see who has unlimited access to traffic in the data logging settings. This is most often Google Play services, alert operators, and other system components. You can enable and disable unlimited access for any application, but their disconnect performance may be compromised.
In addition to these tips, many other features are hidden in Android Nougat. In the new Android Oreo, there are certainly a lot of surprises.
