A new update is now available for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge . This brings, among other things, the security patch from the month of June to the aircraft from 2015.
Last week the June update for the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus arrived . Then we predicted that the smaller, and somewhat older, S6 and S6 Edge would get that update. And indeed, today that is exactly what is happening.
And so today, the almost three and a half year old Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are rolling out an update to firmware versions G920FXXU6ERF5 and G925FXXU6ERF5 respectively. Last March , Samsung removed both devices from the list of smartphones that receive monthly security patches, and since then it has been quiet on the update front. Until now, because the patch of June is now rolling out. This will install all improvements for the security of the Android OS and Samsung’s own apps, which have beenrolled out since the March update .
In addition, we see the usual optimisations and unnamed improvements. Whether a definitive fix for the ‘ flipcover bug ‘ also comes with the update, must now be revealed. So did / did you suffer a not working cover after an earlier update? Let us know below if the new update of today brings the solution for this.
In any case, the update starts as usual automatically with downloading, but you can check whether it is already ready for your device via Settings Software update Download updates manually . Have you already installed the update? Do you come across other changes / innovations?
