Earlier, Android Pie was known as Android P and several release versions were released.

Other manufacturers will start Android Pie upgrades for their devices later on with their own schedules. According to Google, devices from Sony, Xiaomi, Nokia phones from HMD Global, Opportunity, Vivo and OnePlus and Android One devices will be updated on Android Pie by the end of this fall. These manufacturers have already released test versions of Android P for their devices earlier.

A significant lead in the update is, among other things, the utilization of artificial intelligence. “Android 9 uses the power of machine learning to make your phone smarter, simpler and more tailored to you,” says Google in a blog post about Dave Burke, responsible for Android development .

Android Pie redefines the bottom of the standard Android screen softkey. A separate button for open applications disappears. From the home screen upscale swipe to the open view with open applications, and all apps in the device will then show up in the application menu with the second upward scan or straight-forward swipe.

Another alternative way to browse the open applications is to wipe sideways at the bottom of the screen. Preview images of open applications are now horizontally parallel to the previous vertical card view. The Open Search Review View will also include the Google Search Bar as well as the icons for the five suggested apps.

From the applications to the home screen, you will still go to the home button. Long press opens Google Assistant or another similar function. The Back button appears at the bottom of the screen only when it’s within the apps.

Please note that these changes will only take place directly in Google’s version of Android. Other manufacturers may continue to have their own function button implementations. In addition, in the Pixels, the new gesture navigation navigation is not yet enabled by default, but only in the settings that can be made available.

Google also redesigns the screen by the position of the device. If the screen position is locked, open the device by opening an icon on the screen, but the view may be turned if desired.

Likewise, volume control has been simplified. The ringer volume will be adjusted in the future with simply three different options (silent, vibrate, audible) and volume control switches affecting the volume of the media play.

Android Pie also adds to the quick demarcation and editing of image captures taken from the new Markup tool screen by drawing, for example.

Like many other Google services, including Android, there is an artificial intelligence for the hub.

Adaptive Battery is a new feature that utilizes machine learning to understand what applications the user is likely to use in the coming hours and optimizes the phone’s performance by extending battery life.

Android Pie also introduces the ability to adjust the brightness of a learnable, adaptive automatic display that takes time to adjust the user’s preference to adjust the brightness of the display.

The Android application menu also comes with the new app icon at the top of the five, along with new smart apps (App Actions). For example, it may suggest to make a call to a particular person when the phone asks this to be relevant or competent to suggest starting the audio after connecting the headset to the phone.

In addition, Google will allow application developers to import part of their app in a future slice (Slices). Initially, as part of your search, your Android phone will be able to tell you about things in the future, like suggesting cookies or photos of your own Google Photos. Slices is coming into Android P a little later in the fall.

Aplications require separate support to become part of the Actions and Slices functions.

Google emphasizes Apple’s way of moderating usage in the autumn update. Android also has a new Dashboard view that tells you how much the device is being used – including the number of unlocking and notifications of phone locks and the use of different applications.

Digital wellness as part of Android Pieta is initially available as a separate download via the Google Play Store as a beta version, and will be released in the autumn version.

Android Betty can also set timers for applications. When the specified time is reached, the phone resembles this notification and for the rest of the day the application icon will also turn gray.

The Google Assistant also provides a Wind Down feature that, during a set time period, changes the screen to a greyish color.

Do not disturb can be easily turned on in the future: turning the phone screen down on a desk or other surface. It also hides messages completely and does not show them anymore in the lock or notification view.

Android Pie also offers new, easier ways to disable application alerts. In addition, parents can still control their children’s screen time by using the family function.

Android Pie also includes a large number of new emoji icons.Just as new names include a cold and hot smiley, llama, mango, skateboard and yarn. New are also redhead-emojos, as well as curly or white-haired and bald people. The design of the different mothers is also fine-tuned.

Android Pie also brings support to Android-based smartphone-based monitors that include some components such as a front-mounted slot at the top of the operating system level.

Android With a small amount of apps, they will be able to take full advantage of the horseshoes when the operating system takes care of the right height of the status bar at the top of the screen in standard applications.

The time slot will also move to the right-hand edge of the status bar at the top of the screen.

Notifications will be renewed again in Android. As a whole, notifications will become more versatile in terms of their functions and content. In direct notifications, you can see more message conversations, images, labels, and intelligent response options.

The appearance of quick settings and alerts will also be renewed on standard Android. Settings and alerts are in separate boxes with corners softly rounded.

Android Pie improves the performance of Android Runtime and Kotlin apps somewhat. For example, with Android Runtime updates, application file sizes can be up to 11 percent smaller, speeding up everyday activities by speeding up applications and reducing memory usage.

In addition, Android Pie will take on the Android Doze background function, application standby, and backdrop limitations, which will further improve battery life.

Application microphone, camera and sensor usage in the background is limited by significantly improving security and privacy.

Security in application performance will also improve HTTP traffic for TLS encryption.

With Android Pie, you can easily crop and edit shots from the new Markup tool screen, for example, by sketching.

Fingerprint Detection ExperimentAndroid Pie introduces a unified view that prompts the user to set the finger to the reader and tells the information about the authentication.

Androids Pie supports Wi-Fi Round-Trip-Time technology, enabling applications to utilize Wi-Fi network-based indoor hotspots. It is an IEEE 802.11mc standard that allows the distance measurement of Wi-Fi base stations and, hence, positioning if there are three base stations within the range that are known to their location.

As doubles and even as triple cameras become more common on smartphones, Android Pie itself introduces an interface to allow applications to access the image of two or more cameras. This facilitates the development of zoom, bokeh and other two-camera operations.

The camera features that are directly contained in the operating system will develop, including interfacing with the display as a flash.

Android Pie includes support for HDR VP9 Profile 2 video format with HDR. In addition, there is support for HEIF image format, which reduces the need for storage space significantly compared to normal JPG images. Apple also added support to HEIF last year in its latest iOS and macOS versions. HEIF should be able to compress the same picture quality to half the file size.

The Android Neuropex interface, first introduced in Android 8.1, is being exported to Android Pie, with support for new operations.

In the previous version of Android, Oreo, a new Autofill feature was introduced to automatically add passwords and other information, which facilitated and greatly improved the functionality of password management applications. Android Pie often improves Autofill in a variety of ways, such as a compatibility mode that allows for smooth interaction between applications that support old practices and the use of new Autofill in parallel.

With Android Small, Google is also tightening its approach to non-public interfaces in applications. So far, this is mainly a warning about future changes.

Likewise, with Android Small Entrance, Google tightens demands on Android applications. From September 2018, applications will need to support API interface 26, or Android 8.0 Oreo.

Android Pie should warn of unsupported applications if they are older than interface level 17, i.e. older versions of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

With these changes, Google will force applications to be faster in the future with new versions of Android versions, enhancing performance and security, among other things.
