Here is the guide to install Google Play Store on Xiaomi. Xiaomi is a very popular brand in France , while it is not even established. Indeed, the Chinese brand offers smartphones and other products at very advantageous prices, but requires the use of importation. If you have just acquired one of the latest Xiaomi smartphones on the market ( like the Mi Mix 2 compatible with all frequency bands ), it may not immediately have a global ROM integrating the original Google Play Store. You will need to manually install the Google Apps Kiosk until the ROM is available. (If it already is, get the ROM here and follow this guide to install it properly on your smartphone .) Once you have installed the Play Store, you can use your smartphone without worries, but we advise you to install the global version of the firmware as soon as it becomes available.

Install the Google Play Store on Xiaomi MIUI
To install the Play Store on MIUI, the safest and fastest way is to download a backup file to restore the Play Store and the applications needed to run it, instead of installing them from APKs. To do this, you need to download a file containing the backup in question from your computer or directly from your Xiaomi smartphone to this address:

Once you have downloaded the Zip to your smartphone, you must extract it to the Internal storage> MIUI> backup folder (be careful to extract the “AllBackup” folder in the backup folder).
Once you have prepared the backup, you just have to run it. To do this, go to the settings of the smartphone, then in Additional settings , Backup & reset and finally Local Backups . Then select the May 11 backup and Restore to have the recovery tool automatically install the different components needed for the Google Play Store to work.
Then restart your smartphone and you can open the Play Store app or add a Google Account from the Account Management Tool in your smartphone settings.
Tip: To avoid possible bugs with the application installation via the Play Store, you can go to “Installed Apps” and give all the rights in “Permission manager” to the different Google applications installed (Google Play Store, Google Contacts Sync, Google Play Services, Google Services Framework and Google Calendar Sync). Take the opportunity to uninstall the few useless applications present based on the Chinese version of MIUI.
