After the end of the promising Remix OS , a gap has been created for those who want to have Android and their computer. It is good to have options and as long as Google does not formally transfer to the PC, our only alternative is the independent developers. Phoenix OS is currently the best choice and in many places makes the job better than the popular Remix.
For those who were already using Remix on their computer, switching to Phoenix is very easy, as the two operating systems are very similar to their graphics environment. And here is the classic a la Windows menu, the taskbar at the bottom, and the alert center that appears the same way on the right side of the screen.
The difference of Phoenix OS is that it gives you the feeling of being more stable and lighter. This is mainly because this ROM is more stock than Google’s Android stock! No apps have been added to it, but all Google apps and services have been removed, which, while they’re running out of control. This of course means it does not have the Play Store, but you can download it and install it with ease.

Another important detail about ROM speed is that it is based on Android 7.1 Nougat, which is proven to be much lighter and more stable than Android 6.0 on which Remix OS stopped. And the only fact that it can be installed on a 4GB USB stick and running on USB 2.0 ports, says something about its quality.
Phoenix OS also looks more complete as it has fewer problems than Remix, and has some of its own applications for better performance. Among them we will find Stardust browser, CZ File Manager and CZ Text Editor, which we can download and try on any device from the official page of the project .
In addition to opening multiple windows applications, it also supports the dual applications we’ve seen on many Xiaomi devices like Mi 6 . This allows us to have two times the same application to use it with two different accounts. It also has good keyboard support, with shortcuts and key mapping to play games.
So maybe it’s the best alternative to Android on PC but also for those who have one of Google’s Nexus tablets, since it supports everything and will surely give them new life with its functions.
