We already know when Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 9 . However, a real release date is officially not yet known. Yet South Korean media are already throwing a date in the group: from August 24, the device would be available immediately.
Samsung has become increasingly better in recent years in the smooth release of unveiled smartphones. Earlier this year there was only a week or two between the launch of the Galaxy S9 , and the moment that the first lucky ones had the device. If new messages are correct, the South Koreans have a similar planning in mind for the Note 9.
The Galaxy Note 9 release date is the big phone 15 days after the official release, according to South Korean ETNews . The launch will take place on 9 August during a separate Unpacked event taking place in New York. More than two weeks later, starting on 24 August, the new Note will be available, although we do not know whether this applies to all countries and markets.
Our expectation is that you can already order the Galaxy Note 9 immediately after the unveiling. You have the device directly on the 24th in house, or – as often with Samsung’s major device releases – before that. Often early pre-orders are already delivered before the official release date, finally.
With all this you must of course keep in mind that this is a rumor. Samsung itself will undoubtedly announce the official release date itself on 9 August. Nevertheless, August 24 sounds logical. We recently predicted on the basis of Samsung’s release schedules that the device will actually be on the shelves before the end of August.
The Galaxy Note 9 gets a suggested retail price that probably will not differ much from that of the Note 8 , last year. That means a price tag of € 999, -. For that you get a slightly larger 6.4 inch screen, and possibly standard 128GB internal storage capacity. Moreover, the S Pen has been renewed considerably, and can be completely new – although still unknown – tricks thanks to its own Bluetooth connection . Also, the battery of the Note 9 with a capacity of 4000 mAh isconsiderably larger than that of recent Samsung top models. We also expect the camera to be improved, although concrete details are still lacking. The design remains unchanged, which will hardly deviate from the Note 8.
Last week we were able to confirm that Samsung releases the Note 9 in five color versions: black, gray, blue, purple and brown. Knowing Samsung does not all come directly from colors in all markets. Which variants appear in the India in August appears at the latest after the unveiling.
