Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Note 9 officially on 9 August. The emphasis must be on the new camera of the device. All this according to Bloomberg sources.
As befits an upcoming top phone, there is a lot of gossip about the release date of the Galaxy Note 9. “He’s coming sooner than expected!” “Oh no, not.” ‘Or is it?’ Etc. And that, while Samsung has been showing its new Note phones to the world in August for years. It is therefore no surprise that this will happen again now. At least, if Bloomberg is right.
Samsung wants to show the Galaxy Note 9 to the world on August 9th. The associated Unpacked event must take place in New York. The device can then still be in stores in some countries before the end of August. Although a launch on that date is indeed two weeks earlier than the event that Samsung last year for the Note 8, Bloomberg adds that the mentioned dates are not yet fixed. So there is still room to be pushed, so that there is hardly any question of an ‘early’ launch.
Apart from the gesteggel on the exact date, Bloomberg reports that the focus of the Galaxy Note 9 is on a new camera. In 2017, the Galaxy Note 8 was Samsung’s first phone with a dual camera (here at least), followed at the beginning of this year by the Galaxy S9 . The next evolution in this area should also be able to come with the Note 9. Details about this camera are unfortunately not known at this time.
Furthermore, data is confirmed that we already knew through other channels . The Galaxy Note 9 in some markets is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor. In other countries – including Europe – Samsung stops the Exynos 9810 that we know from the S9. At launch, the device runs on Android 8.1.0, while the probability of a fingerprint sensor below the screen seems nil . In terms of appearance, the Note 9 will not differ much from the S9 and the Note 8. At most we see that the bezels have become somewhat narrower, but the difference is probably minimal.
Besides rumors about an improved camera, messages about the battery of the Note 9 are perhaps the most interesting. It may be the first Galaxy since the Note 7 that really gets a bigger battery capacity. Behind the 6.4 inch screen there might be a battery with a capacity of 3800 or even 4000 mAh . That is a step forward compared to the 3300 mAh of the Note 8.
Whether all details are correct, we know about more than two months – on August 9, or maybe a little later. Until then, we will undoubtedly see many more rumors about the Galaxy Note 9.
