Extremely good in 2017 for Xiaomi, with a very good turnover and high unit sales rates, it has been the foundation for this year’s 2018 to make a very strong and good start. The region of India is one of the most important markets for manufacturers and Xiaomi is receiving positive acceptance from the public to such an extent that it is now often used to present new smartphones to be released on the global markets.
Managing Director Xiaomi India, Manu Jain, has recently opened its new headquarters in the country, employing more than 700 employees, all of which came out in consultation with Lei Jun and Wang Xiang’s vice president.
Of course, Chinese executives also participated in the opening ceremony of this new headquarters to evaluate Xiaomi India’s new offices under the control of 5 factories covering a total area of approximately 20,000 square meters.
During his opening speech, Lei Jun said:
I congratulate the entire Indian team with whom I shared experiences and feelings during my five visits to India. Xiaomi India plays an important role for the company and contributes directly to the globalization of the brand. I thank all the members of the Xiaomi India team who contributed to this wonderful present by laying the foundation for a glorious future.
The history of Xiaomi and its opening in India dates back to 2014, and after almost four years of great efforts, the company has become the number one manufacturer in the country.
